A 10-YEAR-old girl from Ruthin stars in the latest advert from Lloyds bank.

Mabli White secured the role as the main character in the new advert.

Ahead of filming, the Ysgol Pen Barras pupil visited a huge farm down South where 98 horses - all trained for films and commercials - resided.

Mabli, a member of Only Kids Allowed, spent a day training and getting to know the Lloyds Bank horse.

It is understood this particular horse had been in movies such as the Lord of the Rings and Wonder Woman.

Mabli said: "I was overwhelmed when I received the call from my agent, it was a dream come true.

"My mother took me to London for my first experience of filming in a big city. I met up with the producer, director, my make-up artist and wardrobe designer and they gave me an in-site of how the two weeks would fold out.

"I thoroughly enjoyed the day on the farm training with the well known famous Lloyds Bank horse. They had 98 horses on the farm, all trained to be in films and commercials around Europe. It was an eye opener.

"I had a few days of rehearsing with the horse and on the bike with my double stunt lady.

"When filming started, there were over 230 people on set."

The advert tells the story of a girl [Mabli] who develops an interest in mountain biking. She overcomes obstacles and improves her talent as she rides. The advert aims to encourage young people to gain financial confidence.

The advert is set to soundtrack Girl on Fire by Alicia Keys.

Mabli filmed in eight different locations across North and South London.

The youngster, who has sister Nona, aged eight, received coaching from World Champion mountain biker and coach Katy Curd.

Mabli added: "My favourite part of filming was when I fell off the bike and the horse came and rescued me. It is such a beautiful scene. Some scenes took four hours to film.

"They needed to get the horse, myself, wind, smoke, actors all perfect and I had to stay patient and listen to the director at all times."

Mum Ffion, who is married to Simon, said: "This is Mabli's first commerical. She has been a member of Indigo Performing Arts for seven years.

"After many self tapes, castings and interviews, she was selected as the main character. She was down in London for two weeks.

"She loves horses, she used to ride. She had to film with the horse very close to her for many scenes, but her favourite is when the horse comes and rescues her. The connection between Mabli and the horse was special. She was full of excitement; filming with the horses was unforgettable.

"She was overwhelmed by all the horses, they even had pigs on the farm being trained for movies."

Asked what she thought of the final product, Mabli responded: "I love it. It is better than what I imagined."

The advert is now showing on tv.

A short film, The making of Lloyds Bank Commercial 2023, was also created.
