PART of the A5 near Corwen was closed for around four hours last night (June 12) following a crash involving two vehicles.

North Wales Police have confirmed details of the incident which took place between Berwyn and Glyndyfrdwy.

They say they were called to the incident at around 5pm and the road was closed as emergency vehicles arrived.

The road was then re-opened around four hours later, police say.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: "We were called shortly after 5pm yesterday (June12th) to report a two-vehicle collision on the A5 between Berwyn and Glyndyfrdwy, Corwen.

"The road was closed whilst emergency services dealt with the incident and arranged recovery for the vehicles. The road was reopened shortly after 9pm."

It is as yet unclear whether or not anybody was injured during the crash, but the Welsh Ambulance Service has been approached for comment.
