THE NORTH East Wales Search and Rescue (NEWSAR) team was on hand to help a young person on Llantysilio Mountain yesterday (July 4).
The young person was said to be out on a Duke of Edinburgh expedition on the mountain.
The NEWSAR team was deployed to assist North Wales Police and the Maritime and Coastguard Agency with the rescue.
The young person was then evacuated off the hill before being taken to hospital.
A statement from the NEWSAR team read: "We were called out yesterday afternoon by @northwalespolice to assist a young person on a DofE expedition on Llantysilio mountain."
The statement added: "With the assistance of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency, the young person was evacuated off the hill and taken to hospital. We wish them a speedy recovery.
"We would like to thank the locals who let us park on their drive last night. Hope we didn't cause too much inconvenience."
NEWSAR is a non-profit organisation which relies solely on donations made by members of the public.
Its team of volunteers are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days responding to those in need throughout Flintshire, Denbighshire, Wrexham and parts of Conwy and Powys.
