A WOMAN from Ruthin who bought a meal from a McDonald’s restaurant in Rhyl last week was left bemused after saying her burger appeared to already have had a bite taken out of it.

The woman, who asked not to be named, ordered a “Big Mac” from McDonald’s on Ffordd Derwen last Tuesday (July 25), but then made what she described as a “very strange” discovery.

McDonald’s disputed that a bite had already been taken out of the burger, saying that it seemed to have “torn”, not least because both buns appeared intact from the above picture provided.

She said: “My partner and I went through the drive-thru, and then stopped near St Asaph to eat it.

“I opened my burger to put ketchup on it and realised someone had taken a bite out of it. It was very strange, and absolutely vile. We threw the burger away; I couldn’t eat it, obviously.”

The woman said she rang the restaurant later that evening but was unable to speak to a member of staff.

McDonald’s urged her to contact its Customer Services team if she wishes to take the matter further.

This, she said, was not the first issue she had encountered from the McDonald’s restaurant in Rhyl.

She added: “I’ve tried to contact McDonald’s about it, but they haven’t responded to anything. An apology would be nice, and I’d like them to train their staff to better standards.

“My partner and I went to the same McDonald’s a few weeks earlier, and they completely forgot a burger from one of the meals we ordered.

“They’ve obviously got issues going on with their staff there.”
