IT LOOKS set to be a rather cold and wet weekend across the North Wales Coast.

A yellow weather warning is in place throughout today (October 13) with heavy rain expected to fall before clearing up later in the day.

Despite the warm temperatures last weekend and early this week, there will be a drop this weekend with highs of 11°C and lows of 3°C across Saturday and Sunday.

The Met Office has warned it will feel 'a lot colder' than recent days with mild breezes expected.

Here's what the weather experts have said:

"Today: A cloudy and damp start with outbreaks of heavy rain during the morning, especially over the hills. Rain gradually clearing later in the afternoon to allow for some brighter spells to develop. Feeling rather mild and breezy at times.

"Tonight: Largely dry through this evening with a fresh northwesterly breeze. Clear spells developing overnight with a few showers. Feeling much colder with a patchy rural frost. Minimum temperature 4 °C.

"Saturday: After a fresh start, it'll be a day of sunny spells and scattered showers. Feeling much colder than recent days with generally light winds.

"Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday: Mainly dry throughout the period with plenty of bright or sunny spells. Staying cold, especially overnight with a rural frost possible and some mist and fog patches under lighter winds."
