THE A525 road has re-opened between St Asaph and Rhuddlan after a vehicle fire this afternoon (November 29).

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service said it received a call that a BMW 3 Series Saloon vehicle was on fire at 5.25pm.

A crew from Rhyl attended, with the northbound carriageway of the road having shut.

The nature of the fire was said to have been an electrical fault.

At about 7.25pm, North Wales Police confirmed the road had re-opened.

A witness, who shared the above photo, said that it was their partner's car, and that "everyone is fine and safe".

North Wales Police said at 5.44pm: "Due to an ongoing incident, the A525 between St Asaph and Rhuddlan is currently closed.

"Please avoid the area if at all possible to enable the emergency services to carry out their work."
