Denbighshire County Council has announced a temporary order prohibiting vehicles from using certain roads in Llanrhydd.
The closure is to allow Sunbelt Rentals to carry out work on behalf of Openreach.
Closures are set to be in effect from September 8 and the works are expected to finish on September 12.
The order is in effect for an 18-month period or until the works are completed, whichever is sooner.
The closure will affect Maes y Llan Road, B5429 from Llanbedr Smithy to Llanrhydd crossroads, and B5429 from Llanrhydd crossroads to the Cattle Breeding Centre.
According to the council, a signposted alternative route will be available via St. Meugans, Bathafarn Hall crossroads to Llanrhydd street junction, B5429, A494, and A525.
Pedestrian access will not be maintained during the closure.
