A historical sites society is celebrating the turnout at their latest meeting held at a village hall.
The Llandyrnog and Llangwyfan Local History Society reported a "fantastic" attendance at their October meeting.

The meeting featured a talk and presentation by Fiona Gale MBE, focusing on the history and "the challenges of their conservation" for Denbigh and Ruthin castles.
It was preceded by the society’s annual general meeting.

Looking forward to future events, the Society has marked Saturday, November 29, 2025, for its annual Christmas coffee morning at the same location.
The event, scheduled from 10am to 11.30am, encourages all to come and offers free entry.
There will be a cake and produce stall, a selection of pre-loved items, as well as society publications available for purchase.
The raffle, known for its multitude of prizes, will also be making a return.
January 2025 looks set to start on a sweet note with a session dedicated to 'Cocoa rooms — the chocolate castles of the temperance war.'
This talk is lined up as part of a meeting on Wednesday, January 21.
The speaker for this event will be Chris Madoc-Jones.
The society welcomes everyone to its events, with members paying £8 for a yearly programme comprising four meetings.
Visitors and non-members can attend the meetings at £3 per session.
Light refreshments are served for all at the end of every meeting.
The society also welcomes volunteers to participate in their projects.
