A FRESH round of roadworks and overnight closures is set to affect several major routes across North Wales in early March.
Traffic Wales is warning drivers to expect delays and diversions.
A487 Porthmadog bypass closed for emergency works
The Porthmadog bypass on the A487 will shut in both directions on March 1, from 7am to 7pm, for emergency works. A signed diversion will operate via the A497 and A4971 while the route is closed.
A55 Glan Conwy overnight closures
A series of night‑time restrictions will be in place on the A55 between 7pm and 6am:
- February 28 to March 2: J19 westbound off‑slip closed
- March 3 to March 4: eastbound closure at J18 and westbound closure between the J19 on/off slips
Traffic Wales has also confirmed that on March 1, the J19 westbound off‑slip will remain closed during the day to allow surface curing.
A483 Ruthin junction works through March
Drivers using the A483 at J4 Ruthin face two phases of overnight works:
- March 8 to March 17, 8pm to 6am: lane 1 northbound closed with a full northbound off‑slip closure
- March 17 to March 24, 8pm to 6am: lane 1 southbound closed with a full southbound off‑slip closure
The route will remain open during the daytime with a 40mph limit, and local diversions will be in place.
Traffic Wales is advising motorists to allow extra time for journeys and follow diversion signs where required.
