Flintshire County Council has announced multiple temporary traffic and pedestrian restrictions.
The council will close Drury Lane for seven weeks from March 30, 2026, to allow Wales and West Utilities to replace gas mains.
A three-week prohibition will also be enforced on an unnamed road in Penymynydd from April 1, 2026, to facilitate a water main renewal scheme.
Additionally, a newly proposed order will close Public Footpath No. 56 in the community of Mold Rural from April 10, 2026, due to health and safety concerns arising from drainage issues.
The closure is expected to last six months.
Meanwhile, restrictions on Factory Pool Lane in Mold will be extended.
This is due to construction work for an Anwyl Homes Development.
The extended restrictions will come into effect on April 14, 2026, and are anticipated to remain until January 31, 2027.
This involves preventing access to vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians.
Alternative routes will be signposted.
A newly proposed order will impact Brook Road, Chester Road West, and Victoria Road in Shotton.
This order introduces 'No Waiting at Any Time' restrictions on Brook Road, while sections of Chester Road West will have changed waiting restrictions.
Finally, the portion of Victoria Road will be designated 'Goods Vehicle Loading Only.'
A separate proposal aims to amend bus stop waiting restrictions on Chester Road West in Shotton.
Currently operating as 'No Stopping Except Buses' from 7am to 7pm, this will be altered to a 24-hour rule within the existing bus laybys.
The council states this aims to formalise the current situation and prevent overnight parking within bus laybys.
A copy of the proposal and its details can be viewed on the council's website, and written objections need to be submitted by April 17, 2026.
