Road in Abergele to shut for three weeks for resurfacing

A key Abergele road is set to close for resurfacing work.

Alexandra Road, from Sea Road to Kinmel Avenue, will be shut, with traffic redirected through Kinmel Avenue, Park Grove, and Sea Road.

The closure, announced by Conwy County Borough Council, is scheduled to start on April 23, 2026.

The work is expected to last for up to three weeks.

However, pedestrian and emergency vehicle access will be maintained throughout.

The council stated the temporary order, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, is necessary to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works.
