A promising future awaits a young talent who was recently honoured with a top agricultural award.
Lora Pritchard, 18, won the Royal Welsh Agricultural Show Student of the Year award after completing a Level 3 Diploma in Agriculture at Grŵp Llandrillo Menai’s Glynllifon campus.
She was nominated by the college for her "outstanding dedication, passion, and hard work throughout her studies."
Ms Pritchard said: "It was a pleasure to attend the show to receive this honour, being named RWAS Student of the Year.
"I am incredibly grateful to Glynllifon College for the nomination, and for all the experiences and opportunities that have been part of the journey leading to this amazing moment.
"Thank you."
Her achievements were also recognised at the Glynllifon 2026 Student Awards Ceremony, where she received the Special Contribution Award.
Ms Pritchard also took a moment to celebrate her mother’s success at the show.
She said: "And congratulations to Mam for winning her class with her Dorset wool!"
Now she plans to start a degree in media and journalism at Bangor University.
Combining her agricultural background with her media ambitions, she hopes to build a career in broadcasting focused on farming and rural affairs.
Ms Pritchard dreams of becoming a presenter and producer of agricultural programmes, bringing rural stories to screens across the UK.
