DENBIGH Dragons Swimming Team have concluded their attendance in competitive meets for 2023.

Eight Dragons qualified for the Swim Wales Regional Championships (North Wales) in Llandudno Swimming Centre where 29 races were contested.

Eva Evans, 16, won two medals – a silver in 100m Backstroke & bronze in 100m Freestyle.

A further eight top ten finishes were achieved by the team, with swimmers achieving 12 Personal Bests.

The rest of the team were Olivia Bexon,14, Harriet Goodall, 15, Elenid Parry, 11, Mared Parry, 12, Sioned Endres, 17, Bethan Jones, 16, and Seren Rowles, 16.

Then, on Sunday, December 3, the Dragons were at Wrexham Waterworld Centre for the Chirk Christmas Cracker Meet.

Nine Dragons took part in 32 races, with ages ranging from nine tom17.

Among them, three swimmers were taking part in their first swimming competition – Isabelle Owen, 11, Niamh Vernon, 10, and Dyfan Williams, nine.

Well done to them for competing, and we hope that they enjoyed the experience.

Sioned Endres won a Bronze for 100m Backstroke, Seren Rowles secured a Bronze in 100m Breast.

A further 17 top ten finishes were achieved by the team.

The Dragons who took part in this meet were Leila Ashbrook, 11, Kate Davies, 12, Cerys Dutton, 10, Sioned Endres, 17, Bethan Jones, 16, Seren Rowles, 16, Isabelle Owen, 11, Niamh Vernon, 10, and Dyfan Williams, nine.
