A 17-year-old boy is in hospital after suffering gunshot wounds as two people are being questioned on suspicion of attempted murder.
Police were called to Hearsey Gardens, Blackwater, Hampshire, at 2.56pm on Saturday where they found the teenager with serious injuries.
He was taken to hospital for treatment and is in a stable condition, according to Hampshire police.
A 40-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman, both from Blackwater, have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and are in custody for questioning.
Chief Inspector Matt Reeves said: “This was a very serious incident which has left a young man in hospital.”
A force spokesman said: “Detectives are keen to identify any witnesses to establish the exact circumstances and the events leading up to this incident.”
A 16-year-old boy from Blackwater has also been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and remains in custody, Hampshire police said.
