Bella Ramsey is one of 21 famous faces taking part in the latest series of Celebrity Traitors.
From their breakout role in Game of Thrones to high-profile roles like Ellie in The Last Of Us, you will likely recognise the star.
Here is everything to know about their career to date, and what they have said about going on the popular BBC show.
What has Bella Ramsey been in?
Ramsey was born in Nottingham and raised in Leicestershire.
At 10, Ramsey joined the Television Workshop in Nottingham, with the organisation offering training and support for early auditions, including one for Game of Thrones.
Aged 11, Ramsey made their professional debut as young noblewoman and leader Lyanna Mormont in the HBO fantasy drama series.
Following their first appearance in the sixth-season episode The Broken Man, critics and viewers praised Ramsey’s performance.
Co-showrunner D. B. Weiss said Lyanna had originally been intended to appear in only one scene, but Ramsey’s performance led the production team to expand the character into a recurring supporting role.
After appearing in the season finale, The Hollywood Reporter described Ramsey as the sixth season’s breakout star, and they returned for the show’s seventh and eighth seasons.
Ramsey later said the Game of Thrones set “felt very natural” and immediately like a place where they belonged.
Further roles included the CBBC fantasy series The Worst Witch, the comedy film Holmes & Watson and the biographical drama Judy.
Their next major career step came with The Last of Us, HBO’s post-apocalyptic drama based on the successful video game.
Ramsey plays Ellie, alongside Pedro Pascal as Joel Miller, and during the first season the pair developed a close friendship with critics praising their chemistry and individual performances.
The role brought nominations for a BAFTA Television Award, two Critics’ Choice Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, two Primetime Emmy Awards and a Screen Actors Guild Award.
At the time of their nomination, Ramsey was the youngest leading actress nominee for a British Academy Television Award.
The second season of The Last of Us was released in April 2025 and followed the first section of the second game.
Ramsey’s performance again received praise, with further nominations for a Golden Globe Award, a Critics’ Choice Award and a Primetime Emmy Award.
Their recent work includes voice acting in The Sheep Detectives and a role in the coming-of-age film Sunny Dancer.
Ramsey is also set to play the title character in Channel 4 drama series Maya and is due to reprise their role as Ellie in the third season of The Last of Us, planned for release in 2027.
Ramsey is non-binary and has said that they/them pronouns are “the most accurate”.

Ramsey is now preparing to appear in the second series of Celebrity Traitors, alongside 20 other famous faces.
Speaking to the Guardian about the series, Ramsey said they agreed to do the show because they love the party game Mafia, on which the show is loosely based.
They said: “I started playing it in the Television Workshop, so I’ve been playing it since I was 11.
"I love it so much.
"I’ve done Mafia nights at my flat, so fun.
"In my head, it was just, like, I’m going to go to this castle and play this game for two weeks.”
They said that they had watch the first series, adding: “Yeah. So I’m, like, you just go and you do that.
"But I’m too naive.
"I should know, after doing this for so many years, that what you see on screen isn’t actually what it is."

When does Celebrity Traitors start?
The new series of Celebrity Traitors will return on Thursday, October 1, and will air twice weekly on Thursdays and Fridays at 8pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
The official video podcast and spin-off show, The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked, will also be back on BBC One, BBC iPlayer, and BBC Sounds.
Also new for 2026 is a special titled Traitor or Faithful? Claudia Decides, available on Thursday, October 1, from 9.15pm on BBC iPlayer.
It will reveal how Claudia selects her Traitors and offer a more personal look at the contestants and give viewers fresh insight into her decision-making process.
