CLAWDDNEWYDD 2
LLANGYNHAFAL 0
A REVENGE mission went to plan for title-chasing Clawddnewydd.
Earlier in the campaign, it was Llangynhafal who ended Clawdd's unbeaten start to the season with a 3-1 success on home soil.
Fast forward a month or so and Clawddnewydd turned things around to record a 2-0 triumph.
A first championship in nine years still remains a distinct possibility for Mark Lewis' outfit.
An eighth success of the summer keeps them within two points of frontrunners Henllan and home comforts are fuelling Clawddnewydd's brilliant season.
They've won all six of their matches on home soil so far this season.
Clawddnewydd's two main scorers were on target once more.
Jordan MacCarter made it 15 goals for the campaign for the high-flyers, while it's now six goals this season for Rhidian Edwards.
A vital spell is on the horizon for Clawdd, whose next three home games are against in-form Llanrhaeadr, Henllan and Cefn.
