IT'S tighter at the top of a local arrows league.
Week four of the Denbigh and District Summer Darts League campaign saw Masons A close in on the Wingmen at the top of the A Division, while Golden Lion B extended their lead in the second tier.
Masons A picked up a great 6-2 result at a decent Railway A outfit.
The Railwaymen played their part in a good game, with Steve M Jones hitting a 180 and current Denbigh league form man Derry Morris chipping in a great 15-dart leg.
Elsewhere, Wings A thumped Golden Lion C 7-1 to continue their steady season, while the match between Masons A and Golden Lion A was postponed.
Golden Lion B continued their sublime form with a tough 5-3 win over White Lion B in the B Division.
Wings B's recent good run was ended as the Plough Inn shocked them 6-2, and the Hand Inn's struggles continued with a 5-3 home loss to Llandyrnog's Kinmel Arms.
Kinmel captain Danny Johnson pinged in a maximum.
White Lion A defeated Railway B 5-3, with the Railway's Justin Williams hitting a 180 on the night.
