WHAT a weekend it turned out to be for Llannefydd.
Llan's hopes of achieving achieving a top-two finish in Division Two of the Lock Stock Welsh Alliance League were boosted by a thumping 13-0 thrashing of visitors Holyhead Town.
Win number 15 for the season was effectively in the bag as early as the 11th minute, with Llannefydd three goals up.
Sam Jones broke the deadlock in just the sixth minute and this was followed four minutes later by Brad Jones' effort.
It was 3-0 within 60 seconds as Sam Jones bagged his second of the afternoon.
Five goals in the space of 10 minutes saw Llannefydd take complete control.
Jared Jones made it 4-0 in the 24th minute, followed a minute later by a Tomos Jones goal.
Sam Jones completed his hat-trick in the 29th minute, while Tomos Jones struck twice more to complete his treble by the 34th minute.
Trailing 8-0 at the interval, Holyhead managed to keep their hosts out during the initial stages of the second period.
However, Tomos Hywel's 67th minute strike sparked another goal-den spell for Llan, which yielded five goals in 23 minutes.
Morgan Owen, Ciran Jones and Nico Clwyd all found the target, while Tomos Jones bagged his fourth goal of the afternoon.
