A GR-EIGHT night has managed to keep Nantglyn's hopes of claiming the Summer League crown alive.
The third-placed side recovered from a loss to Llanfair in their last match to see off Llandyrnog 8-1 on Thursday night.
This made it nine wins this season for Nantglyn, who now trail frontrunners Llangynhafal by five points.
Experienced frontman Geraint Jones is up to 18 goals for the season on the back of his hat-trick, while a brace from Gruff Roberts has taken his tally for 2019 up to a lucky 13 goals.
Ifan Jones, Lewys Jones and an own goal completed Nantglyn's tally for the evening.
Luke Humphreys scored Llandyrnog's goal in the second half.
Fifteen-year-old Guto Owen did well for the visitors in only his second appearance, having a couple of shots on goal and playng with a lot of confidence.
