HENLLAN 3
LLANFAIR 1
IT looks like only two clubs can deny Llangynhafal an end-of-season title-winning party.
One of the two is Henllan and the Top Park side moved back to within three points of the leadership courtesy of their 3-1 home win over dangerous Llanfair on Thursday night.
Llanfair had dented Nantglyn's own title hopes earlier in the week and Dylan Pugh's side were threatening to derail Henllan's push for the championship when they made it one-apiece in a fiercely fought contest.
However, two quickfire goals in the second period ensured Henllan came through this tough test to maintain their 100 per cent winning run at home.
Two goals from Sam Jones and one from David Lawson-Cooke made sure that Henllan secured win number 10 for the campaign.
Llanfair's response came from Kyle Davies and the league's top scorer Llyr Morris missed a first half penalty for the visitors.
Tom Jones was Henllan's man of the match.
