LLANRHAEADR 6
RHEWL 0
SIX of the best meant that derby honours belonged to Llanrhaeadr on Thursday night.
Top-three hopes were boosted for Llan courtesy of their 6-0 home success over near neighbours Rhewl.
This was win number 10 of the campaign for Llanrhaeadr and with the business end of the season now upon us, they trail third-placed Nantglyn by just three points.
In impressive form for the home side was Dafydd Davies, who bagged a hat-trick on the night.
Meanwhile, there was a goal apiece for Kevin Evans, Tomos Hywel and Osian Davies to complete the deal.
Dafydd Davies, Ifan Evans, Ian Evans and Arfon Davies shone in a very good team performance by Llanrhaeadr, who will enter the Tony Evans Memorial Shield with confidence.
The loss for Rhewl saw them drop down into the bottom-three.
