The following day, Ruthin Town Development entertained St Asaph City Reserves in a competitive clash at Rhewl.
Two goals from J Jones helped the city outfit to secure a 2-1 margin of victory.
Andy Hession bagged the Ruthin goal.
There was another Saturday derby as Denbigh Town Development took on Henllan.
It was the villagers who came out on top by a 5-2 margin.
Dan Williams netted a hat-trick for the victors, with the other two goals coming from Lloyd Hubbard.
