HALKYN 2NDS 12-2

LLANGOLLEN 11

IT was all done and dusted in around 10 overs at Pant Newydd on Saturday.

In an amazing North Wales Cricket League contest, Llangollen somehow picked up a point after they were dismissed for only 11 at Halkyn 2nds.

Llan made the trip with only nine players and they were bowled out in only 6.3 overs after they were invited to bat first.

Openers James Parry and Mark Macloskey were the main scorers with two runs apiece, before they were both run out.

There were five ducks as Llan then slumped to 11 all out.

The wickets were shared by Ben Wilbraham (3-4) and Daniel Williams (2-2).

Halkyn needed 3.4 overs to reach a winning 12-2.

James Parry (1-3) and a run out made sure that Llangollen were able to pick up a point.

Extras produced 14 of the 23 runs during the course of the game.
