NEW BRIGHTON VILLA 1
LLANGOLLEN TOWN 4
WHAT a battle it's turning out to be this season to scoop the Wrexham Area League Division One title!
There are half-a-dozen sides in the mix to claim the crown - and one of them in Llangollen Town.
The Tower Fields outfit maintained their position in the top-three courtesy of an impressive 4-1 success at New Brighton Villa over the weekend.
New Brighton had lost just once in the league this season heading into the clash, but they proved to be no match for Llangollen, who secured their sixth success of the campaign.
Chad Humphreys and Gethin Edwards both netted twice for Llangollen on the day, with Jack Neal supplying Villa's solitary reply.
Demonstrating how tight things are at this stage of the season, the top three of Hawarden Rangers, Cefn Mawr Rangers and Llangollen Town all have 18 points, while Coedpoeth, New Brighton and Mynydd Isa Spartans are also in the title picture.
