PENMAENMAWR 1
LLANNEFYDD 3
CAPTAIN Elgan Roberts led from the front during an impressive winning weekend for Llannefydd.
Roberts netted twice as Llan secured a 3-1 margin of victory during their Lock Stock Welsh Alliance League Division Two visit to leaders Penmaenmawr Phoenix.
Just a solitary goal separated the teams at the interval and it was Roberts who handed Llannefydd the lead after 32 minutes.
Just five minutes into the second period and the Llannefydd skipper doubled his tally to give his side some breathing space.
The three points were in the bag when Ciran Jones made it 3-0 with a quarter-of-an-hour remaining.
Ethan Jones found the target for Penmaenmawr after 85 minutes, but that was merely a consolation goal.
