LLANSANNAN 3

TREARDDUR BAY BULLS 2

A TASTY semi-final at Bangor 1876 is Llansannan's reward following a successful NWCFA Junior Cup weekend.

Llan managed to book their spot in the last-four via a 3-2 home quarter-final victory versus Trearddur Bay Bulls.

Next up is a tie at favourites Bangor 1876 in early April, with Llansannan aiming to emulate the feat of Ruthin Town.

Chris Hardy's Ruthin are the only team who have stopped 1876 from scoring this season, on the back of a 2-0 Welsh Cup win.

Turning back to Saturday and the lads in orange couldn't have wished for a better start to the tie.

They went ahead on 12 minutes when Euros Lloyd was presented with a chance and he made no mistake with the finish to break the deadlock.

Llan's attacking prowess came to the fore once again soon after as Keiran Kendrick took advantage of some hesitant defending to double his side's cushion with 18 on the clock.

The away side dusted themselves off and got themselves back into the tie via Justin Williams' effort, but crucially Liam Jones restored Llansannan’s two-goal advantage with eight minutes left.

There was still time for Trearddur Bay to bag another goal, this time from Anton Williams, to set up a grandstand finish, but the home side held on for a memorable cup triumph.
