JD CYMRU Premier club Bala Town announced a double signing ahead of their latest match.

Chris Sang and Oliver Southern were unveiled as manager Colin Caton's latest signings for the club last week.

The pair both came on to make their debuts in the Nathaniel MG Cup penalty shoot-out win v Flint Town United on Saturday.

Sang, who joins the Lakesiders from Wrexham FC is a product of Wigan Athletic's youth set-up.

He was the leading scorer of Wigan Athletic's U18's; scoring 22 goals in 30 appearances while on the first year of his scholarship.

His performances earned him a two-year deal at Bury in 2017, and made his senior debut against Salford City in the August of 2017.

During his time at Bury, Sang was loaned out to Southport, Marine and Altrincham, before making a permanent move to Barnsley in 2019. However he was loaned out again, this time to Guiseley where he scored two goals in 10 appearances.

Sang would then switch to Marshalls FC until Wrexham came in for him in April of this year on a non-contract basis.

He now makes a move to Maes Tegid, where he will be hoping to help the club qualify for Europe once more.

Also joining Bala is Southern, who arrives from Curzon Ashton FC.

The 19-year-old has featured in every pre-season friendly for Bala Town thus far and was known as 'Trialist A' for their final pre-season friendly against Ramsbottom United, which they won 6-1.

The pair are the latest in a string of new signings made by Colin Caton over the summer as the club looks to close the gap between themselves and The New Saints and Connah's Quay once more in the new season.

The most impressive signing the club has made is midfielder Dave Edwards, who earned 43 caps for Wales between 2007 and 2017.

The 35-year-old also made more than 600 league appearances between Luton Town, Wolves, Reading and two spells with Shrewsbury Town.

Edwards has also played in the top five divisions of English Football, from the National League right up to the Premier League, in which he spent three seasons with Wolves.

Other signings to have been made by Bala Town recently are; Paul Rutherford, Bradley Bauress, Calum Woods and Danny Walker-Rice.
