AN amazing 93rd minute goal saw Ruthin Town lose 1-0 at home to Llangefni Town in Cymru North on Friday evening.

With the match heading for a goalless draw under the floodlights at Memorial Park Fields, Andy Sinclair unbelievably scored from some 60 yards out to seal his side's win.

There was a hugely entertaining tie in the North Wales Coast League (East) Cookson Cup.

Llannefydd travelled to Prestatyn Sports and the sides played out a 4-4 draw.

Simon Roberts, Llion Morris, Ed Jones and Rhys Llwyd got the goals for Llan, who then went on to triumph 9-8 in an epic penalty shootout.

Guto Owen - Llannefydd's 10th penalty taker - netted the decisive spot kick.

There were also Cookson Cup wins for Y Rhyl 1879, Glan Conwy and Penmaenmawr Phoenix.

In the REM Jones Cup, there was a comfortable 5-1 victory for Cerrigydrudion in their home clash versus Betws-y-Coed.

Andrew Hession netted a hat-trick for Cerrig, with Tegid Williams and sub Llion Jones also on the scoresheet.

Spot-on Llanelwy Athletic saw off Rhyl Dragons to reach the next round of the REM Jones Cup.

Steve Kirk and Joel Rowlands netted for Athletic as the tie finished up 2-2.

There were no errors in the ensuing penalty shootout, with successful efforts from Gaz Fazackerley, Jack James, Martin Byast and Kirk seeing Llanelwy win 4-1.

In the Premier Division of the league, Rhidian Williams (2), William Hughes and Ianto Roberts gave Bro Cernyw a 4-3 win at Llandyrnog United.

Sean James, David Lawson-Cooke and Garmon Hafal replied.

Despite Gwion Evans' strike, Llansannan were beaten 3-1 at Mochdre Sports.

In Division One, Y Glannau and Henllan drew 0-0, while Caer Clwyd were edged out 3-2 at Llandudno Amateurs.
