CAN Ruthin Town climb into the Cymru North top-four by the end of the year?

There's every chance that the Memorial Park Fields side can achieve this feat following another successful weekend.

Win number nine for the campaign arrived via a 2-0 verdict at home to Llanidloes Town.

Just a solitary goal separated the teams at the break.

Dan Cox handed Ruthin the advantage 10 minutes prior to the interval.

Llanidloes had a great chance to level things up when they were awarded a penalty on 58 minutes.

However, Ruthin's lead remained intact as keeper Ryan Goldston saved Connor Bird's effort.

Then, three minutes later, it was 2-0.

Wil Owen popped up to double Town's advantage.

After the match, Ruthin boss Phil Hudson Tweeted: "Enjoyed that today, showed a different side to our game.

"If teams want to come and play we will play and if teams want to come and battle we will battle, 24 points from a possible 30 in last 10 games is a superb return at any level."

Ruthin are now level on points with fourth-placed Buckley Town, who struck the woodwork on numerous occasions during their 2-0 defeat at Gresford Athletic.

Goals from Nathan Williams and Corey Smart saw Gresford win for the first time since September.

Airbus UK Broughton remain at the top of the pile following their 5-1 home success versus Llanrhaeadr.

After a four-game drought, star striker Adam Davies bagged two goals.

Toby Jones also struck a brace as Llandudno maintained their title ambitions with a 2-0 triumph versus Holyhead Hotspur and Guilsfield extended their unbeaten record via a 3-0 scoreline at Llangefni Town.

Jamie Hyne (2) and Iwan Matthews sealed the success.

Conwy Borough and Penrhyncoch played out a 2-2 draw.
