TWO points were Ruthin's reward for their efforts in the latest North Wales Cricket League contest.
Ruthin hosted Division Two rivals Mochdre Seconds over the weekend and they were invited to make first use of the batting track after losing the toss.
A number of top and middle order batsmen contributed as Ruthin were able to set 157 for eight from their 40 overs.
Leading the way were opener Dafydd Roberts (28), Ifan Hanifa (27), Jac Evans (20) and Ieuan Wynne Lewis.
Opener Daniel Phillips (69 not out) was the key figure as Mochdre replied with a winning 158 for five with eight deliveries to spare.
Josh Duckworth picked up 3-30 with the ball and there was a wicket apiece for Osian Roberts and Jac Evans.
