CORWEN are looking good to secure promotion in the North Wales Cricket League this season.
Their Division Four title aims were boosted courtesy of a thumping 141-run victory during their home encounter with Hawarden Park Thirds.
Corwen wisely opted to make first use of the batting track when they won the toss.
With Tom King (59) and Nathan Aldridge (52) in good form, Corwen managed to set 211 for six from their 40 overs.
Mark Wyeth (31 not out), Simon Harrison (18) and Gareth Rigden (15) also did well to put Corwen in a strong position.
Jo Robinson (2-30) and Ela Closs-Sharp (2-41) were the pick of the bowlers for Hawarden Park, who were all out for 70 during the second portion of the afternoon.
