ARTHUR is king again... on the fairways and greens!

Arthur Jones won the medal on Saturday at Denbigh Golf Club and he commented that it was his first in 30 years.

Probably the finest player produced at Denbigh Golf Club having played at scratch for three decades, Arthur topped the list by edging out Greg Blunden on a countback.

A promising batsman in his teens, Arthur decided on golf and in a relatively short time mastered the basics with outstanding results.

His 'Excaliber' on Saturday was the putter – holing numerous puts from a range of lengths.

In a similar fashion, Andrew Wilcox-Jones produced another remarkable score of 46 points to edge out veteran Emlyn Pierce in Thursday's stableford.
