TWO more wins could be enough to secure promotion for Denbigh.

The North Wales Cricket League Division One leaders were once more at their best with a 10-wicket hammering of Bangor Seconds, which made it 17 wins from 17 matches this summer.

Denbigh lead third-placed Hawarden Park by 46 points, so two more maximum points wins will be enough to make sure of promotion back to the Premier Division.

The only thing that didn't go in Denbigh's favour over the weekend was the fact they failed to win the toss!

From that point on, it was all about the league leaders and Bangor found themselves being bowled out for only 43 in 18 overs.

Harrison Jones claimed astonishing figures of 5-4-1-3 during the early portion of the afternoon.

Also impressive were Joe Lewis (3-12), Ifan Jones (2-18) and Sam Lewis (1-12).

Denbigh required fewer than 10 overs to reach a winning 44 without loss during their reply.

Leading the charge were openers Sam Lewis (23 not out) and Gerallt Lyall (20 not out).

That helped take Lyall beyond 9,000 runs for the club.
