RED cards have proved to be unwanted features for Bala Town.
The Lakesiders had Antony Kay and Oliver Southern sent off during a midweek 1-0 defeat at Connah's Quay Nomads.
Bala were down to 10 men inside two minutes of the start of Friday's Cymru Premier League encounter at Aberystwyth.
Captain Chris Venables was the played sent off, but Colin Caton's charges responded to this setback in brilliant fashion to record a 4-1 victory.
Midway through the first half, Kieran Smith headed in from a Lassana Mendes corner, while another set piece saw Bala go 2-0 up on 57 minutes.
From another Mendes corner, Nathan Peate found the target with a bullet header.
It was game over after Jack Rimmer's own goal and things got even better for the visitors when Dave Edwards scored from the spot a quarter-of-an-hour from time.
Jonathan Evans scored a penalty for Aberystwyth late on, but this failed to take the gloss off Bala's night.
In further good news, forward Adam Roscrow made a deadline day loan switch from The New Saints to the Lakesiders.
The 27 year old joins Town having been on loan at Cardiff Met throughout the last season, making 25 league appearances and grabbing five goals.
The forward made his return to Welsh football after signing for The New Saints from AFC Wimbledon for an undisclosed fee, having made the big move to the Dons in 2019.
Roscrow has been given the number 22 shirt and he made his Bala debut off the bench at Aberystwyth.
Next up for Bala is Saturday's home meeting with Pontypridd Town.
