IT'S proving to be tough to be consistent in Denbigh Golf Club's winter league.

The previous winners were nowhere to be seen during the second week of competition.

Their handicap reductions have now given others the chance to ride the wave.

Poor weather continues with players striving to keep the ball in play and avoid the deluge of leaves now falling rapidly.

The greens are remarkable for autumn/winter and the 7th green now being extended to provide greater pin positions.

The tees in the main being rested and perhaps given attention to restore an improved area.

All prize places were again reduced by three shots, with Arwel W Jones' 45-point haul giving him the latest victory.

This was a shot ahead of bronze division winner Harri Williams, while a number of members finished on 42 points.
