A TRIO of Denbigh Harriers were in action close to home recently.

It was the Bespoke Fitness Ruthin 5k and 10k races on Sunday.

Chris Baldwin was the only Denbigh Harrier on the 10k start line, making a return to racing after injuries with some trepidation.

Chris finished strongly 54th with a great finish time of 57.41.

Meanwhile, two Harriers ran in the 5k race.

Gareth Jones finished in an impressive 20.52 for ninth overall and the third M40 spot.

Also in great form was Lee Evans, who crossed the line as the second overall female and first in the F40 class with a personal best of 23.18.

On the same day, four Harriers ran in the Let’s Run Rhyl five and 10-mile races.

Simon Nixon ran the five-mile distance, finishing 15th overall and the first 65-69 male in a brilliant time of 36.35.

Dawn Marshall, Julie Roberts and Lucy Lewis took on the longer 10-mile route, finishing in excellent times of 1-57, 1-34 and 1-30 respectively.

Greenfield Valley: 8, Sian Pritchard 25.55.
