USUALLY, a hole-in-one arrives on a par-three hole.
However, that wasn't the case in competition at Ruthin Pwllglas Golf Club!
During the latest winter league competition at the club, Gwyn (Tegfan) Jones aced the 15th hole.
This turned out to be the rarest of birds - an albatross - as this hole is played as a par-four, but it is shortened over the winter months.
The latest event was the penultimate week in the winter league, with 56 players taking to the course.
Geoff Gill, was in outstanding form, brought in a score of 44 points, three clear of Oliver Gray, who has also been catching the eye.
However, the overall lead remains with Joshua Duckworth, who has a 14-point lead over Grey in second and third-placed Harvey Jones.
Result:
Winner, Geoff Gill 44pts. Division 1: 1, Oliver Grey 41; 2, Gwyn Jones 37; 3, D Neil Roberts 37. Division 2: 1, Arfon Jones 40; 2, Harvey Jones 38; 3, Joe Jones 38.
