They are three points behind leaders Caersws after an impressive 3-0 win at Llanuwchllyn.
Ryan Kehoe, Kien Morris and Tyler Wilkinson got the goals for Cefn who survived the 60th minute dismissal of Jordan Williams.
Corwen were pipped 1-0 at Llanfair United.
Caerwys remain at the top of the North East Wales League's Championship after a 5-3 win over Aston Park Rangers.
Matt Gilsenan (2), Harry Roberts, Jack Griffiths and Lewis Roberts got the goals.
