MONDAY night's Summer League action saw so many tight encounters.

There were two draws and three one-goal triumphs as this seasn continues to be a competitive one.

Rhewl bucked the trend, as goals from Ian Williams (2), Kyle Jones, Andy Lewis and Andrew Hession gave them a 5-1 verdict versus Trefnant (Alex Ballard).

Leaders Cefn and Llanrhaeadr had to battle to preserve their 100 per cent winning records.

Gwion Owen, Owain Roberts and Elis Davies struck as Cefn edged out Llandyrnog 3-2. Josh Jones and Craig Jones netted for the hosts.

Meanwhile, Llanrhaeadr just got the better of Ysceifiog 2-1 courtesy of efforts from Llyr Morris and Ian Evans. Matt Gilsenan's goal kept Ysceifiog interested.

Henllan remain in third spot despite being held to a 2-2 draw by Llangynhafal.

Evan Diss and Tom Dyer found the target for the visitors, as Sam Jones netted twice for Henllan.

Tegid Williams' goal gave Clawddnewydd a 1-0 verdict at home to Llanfair, while it finished 3-3 in the meeting between Nantglyn and Caerwys.

Luke Molmans (2) and Geraint Jones were on the scoresheet for Nantglyn, with Joe Jones, Ryan Anderson and Carwyn Higgins netting for Caerwys.
