ISSA KABORE has signed a permanent deal for Wrexham from Manchester City.
The wing-back returns to club on a permanent basis following his successful loan spell with the Reds last season
Kabore, who becomes manager Phil Parkinson’s fourth summer signing, has penned a three-year contract with the club, through until the end of the 2028-29 campaign.
The 25-year-old returns to The Racecourse on a permanent deal, after making 32 competitive appearances and registering eight assists while on loan with Wrexham last season.
On returning to Wrexham, Kaboré said: “I'm very happy to be back. It feels good to be here again.
“Everybody knows our ambition is to get to the Premier League, and I’m here to fight for that promotion.
“I’m here to fight for this club, for our fans, and to give back the love everyone gave me last season.”
Kaboré marked his Wrexham debut last season with two assists, during a 3-2 away win at Norwich City.
The Burkina Faso international makes his permanent switch to Wrexham, following loan spells with Mechelen, Troyes, Marseille, Luton Town, Benfica and Werder Bremen, while at parent club Manchester City.
Kaboré has won 55 international caps for Burkina Faso, including a semi-final appearance in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, where he was named young player of the tournament.
On Kaboré’s signing, Parkinson said: “We’re delighted to welcome Issa back to the football club.
“He had a successful loan spell with us last year, and we’re looking forward to working with him again and watching him really develop as a player this coming season.”
