IT'S just like watching Brazil!

Well, football fans in the region will have the opportunity to see the talented Brazilians in action in the Vale of Clwyd later this month.

Denbigh Town Football Club has been chosen by the Football Association of Wales (FAW) to host three under-16 internationals over the Easter holidays.

Future stars of world football will be playing at Denbigh Town's Central Park ground, where matches including the under-16 national teams of Brazil, Spain and Wales will be played.

It's the latest feather in the cap for the Denbigh club, which successfully staged a Wales Ladies' under-17s international against Scotland behind closed doors back in February.

The FAW has confirmed that spectators will be allowed to see the three upcoming internationals with admission prices to be announced next week.

Denbigh Town chairman Shon Powell said on the club's website: “This is fantastic news for the club and for the town of Denbigh as we welcome players from over the world to the area.

"The FAW was impressed with the new pitch and drainage system we installed last summer, and this is the reward for all the hard work that has gone on over the last 12 months.

"Just this week we have welcomed the Cymru C men's team to the ground as they prepared for their international against England C at the Oval, Caernarfon.

"The coaches and players complimented us on the standard of the pitch which is gaining a reputation as one of the best grass pitches in North Wales.”

Further details on the games will be released next week.
