A HOUSING association has been busy carrying out work at a city site.

The North Wales-based Adra housing association has been conducting investment work at The Old Palace, in St Asaph, where it is responsible for providing homes on a one-room flat basis.

"We understand how important our customers’ homes are," said an Adra statement.

The work completed on the Old Palace includes putting a new roof on the original Old Palace, updating the windows, re-laying stones in order to tidy up and re-establishing the chimney horn.

"The installation of windows is currently taking place and we are proud to be working with contractors, Claytons, to ensure work of a high standard," added the Adra statement.

"Keeping the pound local and contributing to the local economy is important to us.

"This is why we work with local contractors who also give back to our community through our social value scheme.

"We would like to thank Claytons for the high quality work.

"We would like to thank our customers very much for being patient while the work is being carried out at The Old Palace."
