A RESTAURANT in Ruthin could soon re-open, with the site due to go to auction.

Clwyd Gate Inn has been closed since 2017, but is set to welcome bids starting from £525,000.

Since shutting its doors seven years ago, the restaurant has underwent a major refurbishment, with “for sale” and “sold” signs having previously been spotted in 2022.

But it is now set to go to auction via Blackburn-based Crown Estate and Letting Agents.

The site comprises a 70-seater restaurant, a bar area and a snug.
