DENBIGH made it two wins from two matches in Division One with a positive outcome at Dolgellau.

However, that comes nowhere near telling the astonishing tale of what happened during Saturday's encounter.

Denbigh's margin of victory was in excess of 300 runs during a dominant performance, which was spearheaded by Harrison Jones.

It was the visitors who made first use of the batting track and Jones faced 120 deliveries.

During that time, he cracked a quite brilliant 203 to guide Denbigh to a massive 355 for five from their 45 overs.

Jones' knock saw a strike rate of 169.17 as he crashed 15 sixes and 18 fours.

Openers Gerallt Lyall (62) and Andy Thomas (12) had supplied the visiting side with a good base, while Sam Lewis (21 not out) and Joe Lewis (18 not out) finished things off nicely.

It was a tough afternoon for the Dolgellau bowlers, but Sam Williams deserves great credit for his 2-39 return.

Williams (19 not out) was then the only home batsman to reach double figures as Dolgellau were restricted to 51 all out in the 26th over.

Denbigh utilised just four bowlers and they were all among the wickets.

The pick of the bunch were Joe Lewis (3-8) and Alec Lewis (3-17), well supported by Sam Lewis (2-8) and Ifan Jones (2-15).
